Privacy

Updated 5 August 2026

This policy is short because there is nothing to disclose. Todext collects no data.

What Todext stores

Everything you write in Todext stays on your iPhone: the people, the notes, the dates, the photos. No accounts. No sign-in. No servers of our own. The App Store privacy label says Data Not Collected, because there is nowhere for your data to go.

Contacts

Todext never reads your contacts. You type a name, or hand it one contact at a time through Apple's picker, which runs outside the app and passes across only the contact you chose. Todext never asks for Contacts permission. Nothing else is ever seen.

Sync

If you turn on sync, your notes travel through your own iCloud, end-to-end encrypted. They live in a database that is private to your Apple account. We could not read it if we wanted to. We don't want to. Turning sync off deletes nothing.

Intelligence

On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, briefings and answers are made on your device. Nothing you write is sent to us or to anyone else for processing.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. All we ever see is Apple's aggregated sales reporting: totals, never names.

Analytics and tracking

There are none. No analytics software, no advertising identifiers, no tracking of any kind.
